Each year the American Kennel Club (AKC) releases its ranking of the most popular dog breeds based on AKC registrations for the prior years. This year, the Labrador Retriever takes the #1 spot, as it has been since 1991! Most notably, the Poodle has moved in to the top 5 for the first time since 1997.
